Travel for this role: None at present but may involve some limited travel if the need arises.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and further develop the company’s existing enterprise risk process with an eye towards repeatability and sustainability.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor that can collaborate to surface risks.
- Develop and employ tools and frameworks that help with risk identification, assessments, and reporting.
- Lead the annual risk assessment process.
- Work closely with the company’s risk owners to produce insightful, timely risk reporting.
- Prepare materials for the Audit Committee of the Board.
- Coordinate with other risk and compliance oriented functions or committees to minimize duplication of effort and ensure efficient execution.
- Serve as the risk leader to the department by providing insight and education for purposes of audit and compliance planning.
- Manage consultant resources as needed to ensure cohesive and collaborative execution.
Qualifications include:
- B.A. or B.S. or higher.
- Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience with most of the experience in enterprise risk or related, preferably with several years at a multinational company.
- Experience working with internal audit and compliance professionals.
- Previous experience building and leading an enterprise risk process.
- Experience working with the Legal department.
- Experience working with executive level leaders.
- Consulting experience providing enterprise risk services is a plus.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry is a plus.
- Experience working in a co-sourced department is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience developing and communicating approaches and results to senior levels of the organization is a must.
